Hi! I'm Ashley.

I’m originally from Iowa, but moved to Colorado after college when I joined Teach For America, and it quickly became home. This is where I met my partner, Bryan, and where we’re now chasing around our four wild, wonderful kids: Nolan, Forrest, Drew, and Avery.

My Story

Birth has a way of rearranging you.

Not just the people giving birth, but anyone close enough to witness it. I didn’t step into this work by accident; I was pulled into it, again and again, by the quiet truth that birth is transformative, sacred, and worth remembering.

I’m not here to take over your birth space. I’m here to protect it, to witness it, and to support you as you move through one of the most powerful experiences of your life.

People often ask why I do this work, and the answer is simple: Birth changed me.

Maybe it was when my oldest son was placed on my chest after a grueling labor, or maybe it’s just who I’ve always been – the person who sits close during hard moments, who notices quiet details, who believes in the magic of real, unfiltered stories.

Outside of birth work, you can usually find me snuggling on the couch with a good book or trashy reality series, planning a trip, or discovering a new local gem. I’m a little messy, a little adventurous, and always seeking connection. I love people’s stories – how they’re formed, how they’re told, and how birth becomes a turning point in so many of them.

Whether I’m holding your hand through a surge, dimming the lights, whispering reassurance, or quietly capturing the way your partner looks at you…
my goal is the same: to help you feel seen, supported, and powerfully yourself.

You have so many options in birth. It's my goal to make sure you know what they are so that you can make the best choices for you.

You can feel completely safe to be vulnerable in your birth space. I’ve seen it all (and been through a lot of it personally), and I will always treat your experience with the utmost respect.

You know your body and your baby best and it's my job to do everything I can to help you achieve the birth of your dreams.
