When you look at your birth photos, I hope you don’t just see what happened. I hope you see who you were. I hope you see the strength in your shoulders as you leaned into a surge instead of away from it. The softness in your hands as they reached for your baby. The way your body opened, instinctively, trusting something ancient and wise within you. I hope you see how supported you were. The hands that held you. The eyes that watched you with awe. The love that filled the room long before your baby ever cried.
