Do you photograph C-sections?

Yes! Cesarean births are so powerful and it's an honor to tell those stories. Be aware that some doctors or hospitals have policies against photography in the OR, but many clients have successfully self-advocated for Ashley's presence to be granted.

What if there's a change in my birth plans?

Birth doesn't always go according to plan, and that's okay. Ashley will stay with you and continue documenting your birth story through any transfer or change of circumstances, as long as that's what you want.

Do you accept Medicaid for doula services?

Yes! Ashley accepts Medicaid for doula services and offers flexible payment plans because she believes all families deserve access to doula support and birth story documentation.

How do you balance doula support with photography?

Support and storytelling flow together naturally. Ashley is constantly tuning in — offering hands, words, and grounding presence when needed, and picking up her camera in the quiet moments where strength and connection shine through. She never disappears into the camera or away from your side.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes. Ashley's practice is a safe space for all types of births and all birthing families. She is LGBTQIA2S+ friendly and a Transgender Safe Space provider.

What is included in the Birth Story Documentation package?

The Birth Story Documentation package ($1,500) includes 24/7 on-call availability from 37 weeks until baby arrives, photo and video coverage from active labor through 2 hours postpartum, 100+ high-resolution hand-edited digital photos, and a 3–6 minute birth film set to music.
